This quarter, we celebrated the third annual State of the River District at the historic Blue Diamond Growers campus—just weeks before the cooperative announced it will wind down operations and sell the property. This creates a rare opportunity for landmark redevelopment in the heart of the district.
Residential growth is accelerating, with 4,681 multifamily housing units existing, under construction, or proposed. Notable completions include The Hayley apartments at Township 9, while large-scale mixed-use projects like American River One and the Grower’s District are on the horizon.
The River District also welcomed vibrant community events like Trails in Bloom, neighborhood block parties, and a record‑setting outdoor concert that drew nearly 6,000 attendees. Economic performance remains strong, with a 2.9% vacancy rate across office, industrial, and retail properties.
