SUMMARY:Downtown Trash: Lessons from Real-World Operators (Webinar)
DESCRIPTION:Downtown districts face a very different class of street trash challenges. High-density downtown areas experience levels of pressure that traditional street trash infrastructure was never designed to handle\, with constant use and limited tolerance for failure. \nCan-diving\, fires\, vandalism\, needles\, and misuse turn everyday trash collection into a public safety\, operations\, and behavior-change challenge\, not just a cleanliness issue. These conditions place sustained pressure on staff\, systems\, and public spaces in ways that are rarely visible from policy or design guidance alone. \nThis peer-led session brings together leaders from Sacramento\, San Francisco\, and Windsor\, Ontario to share what they are seeing on the ground and what is actually working in high-pressure downtown environments\, drawing on real-world experience managing street trash day to day. \nWhat we’ll cover: \n– Why open street baskets break down downtown\n– Managing can-diving\, overflow\, and litter spread\n– Preventing and responding to fires and vandalism\n– Handling needles and hazardous waste safely\n– Balancing compassion\, public health\, and clean streets\n– Lessons cities have learned through experience\n– What to consider before investing in new street trash infrastructure

SUMMARY:Summer Music Series
DESCRIPTION:The Summer Music Series is back for a fourth year!\nKick it with us on the last Friday of every month this summer!\nYou know the drill — outdoor patio\, all ages\, no cover\, and yes\, your dog is welcome too.\nThe brewery is open from 4–11 PM\, and the kitchen serves until 10 PM\, so come early\, grab a bite\, and settle in for the evening. \nAlthough the brewery is tip-free\, the performers we book are not\, so be sure to bring some cash to show your appreciation for the bands! \nMarch 27 – Jeffy Spaghetti (Psychedelic Doom Jazz Folk)\nThe Jeffy Spaghetti Variety Show is an Audio Visual Performing arts group based out of Sacramento California. At the core of the group is Prog/Psych style musical performances of both original material and ample cover songs performed by the core group of members. \nTo add to the experience and to stay loyal to our namesake of “Variety Show” we also incorporate many other elements to our performances other than the music. This can include anything from having an outlandish carnival type game or magic trick in the middle of our set\, having other local noteworthy musicians being featured for a set\, to even having a theatrical or Artistic performance that integrates into our music set. Our goal is to always give the audience a unique experience that’s not only hard to describe but worth going back to check it out again and again. \nThe Jeffy Spaghetti Variety Show started out with Eli Husted (Drums/Vocals) and Dani Dodge (Bass/Vocals) in 2018 to form the backbone of the Rhythm section. Later that summer\, multi instrumentalist David Kellett (Vocals/Guitar/Keys/Flute) was added. Tom Weeks (Guitar/Keys/Vocals) joined in early 2022 and brought a myriad of new textures to the music. Lastly Luke Hartt (Vocals/Keys/Sound Effects) rounded out the line-up in the late summer of 2022 bringing great vocal stylings and hilarious wit to the group.
