SUMMARY:River District Neighborhood Planting
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we plant trees in the River District neighborhood! Planting trees in residential areas helps create more welcoming communities\, assists in reducing businesses energy bills\, attracts more shoppers\, and encourages everyone to get outside – helping make these communities more livable and lovable! \nPLEASE NOTE: We will meet at Mirasol Park but will be planting at multiple locations in the neighborhood. Some volunteers will be able to walk/bike to a nearby planting location\, other volunteers will need to drive to the other site. \nWe provide all the necessary tools and supplies to care for trees. Participants will receive a short\, hands-on training on site. After learning the tools and techniques\, participants will split up into groups and begin planting trees throughout the neighborhood. \nRegister now! The week before this event\, we will send a logistics and directions email with detailed information about how to get to the site. You will receive this email ONLY if you are signed-up for this planting.

We will now be meeting in Discovery Park\, just next to the Jibboom Street Bridge ** \nThis clean-up is all ages. \nJoin us for a Clean-Up on the Parkway the Saturday before Earth Day! Please arrive by 9:50am to sign in and receive a safety briefing. Volunteers will head out to clean by 10:10am. \nVolunteers 17 and under must bring a Youth Waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. Volunteers 15 and under must be accompanied at all times by a parent or legal guardian. Volunteers 18 and over must bring a completed and signed 2024 Waiver. \nCANCELLATION POLICY:\nFor the safety of our volunteers\, ARPF volunteer events are subject to cancellation in the case of weather\, flooding\, and other natural causes. Cancellations will be posted on the ARPF calendar at least 24 hours before the event start time\, and all registered volunteers will receive an email notification.
